Transition
For my transition for this week was that in college its a lot different how they teach class and lecture. They just talk really fast and you have to write as much notes down as you can. Compared to high school they would let you take your time and go on your own pace. Classes are a lot longer in college it depends on how many hours your taking for that class to depend on how long your class is. You may have less classes but your in those classes a lot longer than high school. You don't have the same classes everyday they differ each day. In high schoool you take the same classes everyday and seven classes for 45 minutes each day. High school when you had tests you could get away with not studying and passing all your tests if you listened to the lecture that day, but in high school you can't do that. You have to actually study several days and several hours each day. You can't study the night before for several hours and expect to ace it, because that will not be the case. If you do that you will most likely bomb your test, which isn't good since the tests are 50% of your grade, because this is what I experienced this week. One plus about being in college is that if you are in a really hard class that everyone struggles in they usually have an SI for which is kind of like tutoring for your subject and they have certain nights where you can go there to get help on your notes to make you understand it or help you memorize your lecture for the test the next day or in a couple of days. Also if your in a really difficult class that everyone or majority of the class struggles in then usually if the teacher is nice and laid back they maybe they will give the class curve like mine did. I really hope the curve is a good one, because I didn't do so great on it even though I studied really hard for 3 nights straight and for several hours and still didn't help that much. Even from coming from a college prepatory high school the test was still very hard to me and I admit I did struggle, because the way they word the questions are really confusing so you have to reread they occasionally to understand what they are really asking.
